Social Groups

We offer a variety of different social group options that appeal to a range of interests, ability level, and age groups. Social groups are designed to strengthen the social interaction and communication skills of children, teens, and young adults with ASD, or other developmental disorders (ADHD, learning disabilities, Tourette's syndrome, anxiety disorders etc.).

Each social group focuses on teaching children essential communication skills, emotional regulation skills, engagement skills, and social skills during group activities. Children also learn how to self monitor their behavior and reflect on their progress each week. Goals and the child’s achievements are assessed weekly and interventions are evaluated and adjusted to continue to support the child’s progress.

Benefits of Social Groups

  • Positive peer relations, reciprocal play, and engaging in shared experiences

  • Functional skills in sporting activities, coordination, and teamwork

  • Understanding and expressing your emotions

  • Life skills and independence

  • Problem-solving

  • Social judgment

  • Body regulation

  • Building self-esteem

Center-Based ABA

We have children come into the center for ABA sessions that include interacting with peers. In the clinic setting, we have found children are able to focus on the task at hand free of distraction.

Our center provides a fun and welcoming atmosphere where your child can interact with a number of staff members and other peers, all while learning the lessons, behaviors, and skills they would learn at a home session but potentially at a faster rate.
